The Families with Children from South Africa network is for families who are in the homestudy process, waiting for a referral or have already adopted in Ontario, Canada.
The network meets formally five times a year but also encourages informal gatherings, coordinates attendance at African events and regular playdates among the children. Past Events:The last family gatherings were on October in Barrie; November in Ottawa; January in Oakville; March in Ottawa; May in Stratford; and June in Barrie.
Upcoming Events:
The next Families with Children from South Africa gathering will be on Sunday, September 28, 2008 in Barrie in celebration of South African Heritage Day.
There is also a picnic in Ottawa scheduled for
August 2, 2008.
